Cocoa Butter & Walnut body scrub

I really love to pamper myself and I especially love when you can shave your legs and do your tan while wearing a face mask and also trying to paint your nails! What I like to do when doing this routine is use a body scrub before I shave my legs however I never seem to be able to find them for a decent enough price and seeing as though I like to use a lot and lather it on I don't really want to pay any more than a couple of pounds.

I've checked in all my local pound stores and saver stores yet they never seem to have anything, even online I think their all ridiculously priced. I then came across this one and of course I picked it up in the cocoa scent, if anyone of you know me personally you will understand just how obvious this is of me.

This is a scrub in which the walnut in it is actually the exfoliator. I think this is really interesting as its different compared to a normal sugar or salt scrub. I feel like its less harsh for the skin and seeing as though I exfoliate regularly I don't need something like a salt scrub. This scrub is so creamy and has just the right amount of micro-particles of walnut in it. The smell is absolutely divine and reminds me of The Body Shops cocoa range. With this smell it also stays on your skin too which I was really impressed with, especially as this was only £1!

I love this so much that if I ever see any more from this range I'm 100% going to pick them all up!

MAC Prep + Prime Highlighter

You will all know by now how much I love to highlight and contour so it was only a matter of time before one of these illuminating pens wondered its way into my collection. Honestly I'd heard about the YSL one but I didn't actually know MAC did anything like it until I seen Sabrina on YT use one.

I picked up the shade light boost as I thought that would be able to give me the highlighted look I was going for. Its like a regular concealer shade but with more yellow in it and light reflecting glitters. With this I thought it would be matte however with it being glittery it goes on matte but then appears really oily and dewy and I constantly have to apply powder on throughout the day. In the areas I apply this it also makes them so dry which is such a disappointment.

Another thing that disappoints me with this is how bad it creases under my eyes no matter how much powder there is, which isn't really a good look. I personally think there are much better products out there to highlight with and I will not be repurchasing this.

Cheap Treat Tuesday - Essence Jumbo Pencil

Essence are known for their cheap but good quality make up and all their dupes that they provide! I already own a blusher/bronzer, lip liner and a eyebrow fibre gel which you can check out that post here - but I wanted to try something else. I opted for a product I normally wouldn't go for, an eye brightener pencil, which is generally used to make the eyes appear bigger and more awake. I intended to use this for a different purpose as with my eye shape my eyes actually look better the smaller they are.. if that makes sense!

So this is the Big Bright eyes jumbo pencil, this is a highlighter to place in the inner corners of the eyes or even along the water line to make them appear larger and like I said more awake! The way I actually use it is just under my brow bone to finish off my brows and make them look more put together and neater. I find that this opens up the area more and makes my eyebrows stand out a lot more, especially if I'm wearing heavy eye make up, its as if it lifts them up. I prefer using this highlighter which is matte and more subtle than a regular glittery face highlighter. This also comes in 3 different shades to suit everyone's preference!

What I love about this product is the texture of it, its the creamiest thing I think I've ever felt and it glides on so easily to the skin. It blends out like a dream with a brush or even your fingers and doesn't sink into any dry patches either. It gives an instant brightness to the area whilst also appearing that you have nothing on at all which I really love. If you like the whole matte look then this will be a godsend to finish off your face, I like this way better than concealer and at £2 for one of these then it's perfect. You can also use this for highlighting anywhere else too, not just your eyes. This is great for down the centre of your nose and your cupids bow as its just the right shape!

Did I mention this is also a dupe for Benefits High Brow and Benefits Eye Bright? Not forgetting its also a dupe for Soap & Glory's Arch De Triumph!

Urban Decay Lipsticks

Urban Decay, for me is a brand that I love but I don't have many of their products. Actually thinking about it I've only tried the Naked 2 palette and their setting sprays! I'm not sure why I actually bought  these but I'm honestly so glad I did, they're amazing!

I firstly picked up the Sheer lipstick in the shade Liar which is a super glossy pinky nude colour. It's not sticky and just glides on the lips so smoothly. This doesn't stick to all the cracks in your lips either which I was sort of expecting it to do. This is such a me colour as its perfect for every day wear. It looks great on its own or paired with a lip liner.

Seen as though I loved it so much I wanted to get another lipstick from Urban Decay, this time I opted for the regular Revolution Lipstick and I got the shade Naked. I didn't know what to expect with the formulation for this, whether it would be matte or more of a satin finish. Its quite similar to the Sheer lipstick but is just a little more pigmented. This colour is extremely similar to Faux from MAC and has that element of a bubblegum pink colour in it. This is still super glossy which I really like however this sadly does stick to the cracks on your lips but not too much so its not too noticeable.

Lastly lets talk about the packaging and I absolutely love the packaging for these lipsticks! I like the shade of the actual lipstick and how its like the YSL ones. The only thing is I keep putting the lid on and accidental indenting the lipstick! I love how the different lipsticks come in different coloured packing- sheer being purple and the original revolution being gun mental grey. This makes it easy to tell them apart, especially if you had a wide collection of them.

Have you ever tried Urban Decay lipsticks?

Colour Pop Lippie Stix

Colour Pop is one of those American beauty brands that we all want to try yet can't get our hands on because its not accessible in the UK which is one of the most annoying things. I'd mainly heard about this brand and their incredible products from the likes of Jaclyn Hill and Glitteralittle. There are so many things I want to try but this is number 1 on my list.

Colour Pop's Lippie Stix are the things I've heard of the most and I had seen this shade swatched a few times so when I came across it on eBay I had to have it. This is in the shade Lumiere - a matte mauve pink colour. This colour is so me and reminds me of the likes of Twig and Mehr from MAC. With it being matte I was concerned about how drying it would be but its honestly so creamy and doesn't dry out the lips what so ever. This also has a really long wear time and doesn't transfer that much either.

I really like the packaging of this too- to me its just so American. The holographic writing is so cute too and just makes everything look so cute and put together. I paid about £11 for this which I didn't mind at all; most of them I found where way more expensive. I really do love this product and I want to try more from their brand. Next on my list is a nude Lippie Stix and maybe an eye shadow!

Cheap Treat Tuesday - Tangle Attack

After all the hype about the Tangle Teezer I really wanted it yet I couldn't justify spending £7.50 on what was essentially a brush for a horse. However while browsing though my local Poundland I spotted this, a dupe!! For £1!!

I'm honestly so excited about this- I feel like I can finally get on the bandwagon even though mine is more of a fake. I rarely brush my hair (I know, how bad of me!) but now I'm happy that I can easily get rid of all my cotters just like that. What I love about this is it has the original ones shape, so its easy to grasp and makes gliding this through your hair so simple. Overall I like the idea of this brush way more than a standard one with a handle. As for the bristles there neither hard nor soft so it doesn't feel like a rake to your scalp which obviously is a bonus.

This Tangle Attack also comes in a case which I really like, its also very handy incase you've got left over hair in it or if its still wet. Talking about using this with wet hair I've also used it with dry and think it does an exceptional job. As soon as I'm out of the shower and have used various hair products I then brush through with this and it makes my hair so smooth and sleek looking. My hair also appears less frizzy when its dried too.

In comparison to the original Tangle Teezer, even though I haven't tried it, this feels a little hollow and low quality. Nonetheless it does the job and it does it well and I cant imagine it being much different to the Tangle Teezer.

Another MAC lipstick

MAC lipsticks are my favourite lipsticks and are something in which I constantly have an ongoing wishlist of the ones I'm wanting. This is my 8th MAC lipstick and it was sort of a quick purchase. I was looking at which shades I though Sarah would like (blog here) as it was going to be a birthday present. When I came across this I really loved it and thought she would too so I sneakily popped two in my basket! This is the shade Mehr.

It's a matte shade which I'm not overly fond on but I do think the more recent ones I've purchased have been lots more creamier. The colour is so hard to describe, its in between a mauve pink and a berry colour. It's very similar to Twig but just has more pink and is a little more vibrant.

What I love about this is that its great for daytime wear or night time which is great because its better value for money! I would definitely recommend if you like the whole Kylie Jenner lip colour but a touch more pink!

All about that gold highlight

While reorganising my make up collection I came across a few products that I forgot how much I used to love and wanted to use them a bit more or incorporate them into my every day routine.

The Benefit beams and tints are products I have yet never use and I don't know why because I really love them! I think its just when you find something that you prefer you never seem to go back to what you originally used to love! I've been loving the weather recently and as I've been wearing self tan I wanted to bronze up my skin a little more while at the same time being dewy and having a highlight all in one. This product does this job perfectly! I've been doing my whole make up routine except for highlight and then 'drawing' this on the usual points I would highlight. I use quite a dense brush just to blur that into the skin so there's no harsh lines.

Over the top of Sun Beam I've been loving MAC's Soft and Gentle highlighter! I've been constantly using Mary Lou from The Balm so this hasn't been used much. But as Sun Beam is gold I had to apply a gold highlighter over the top. I like this one as it has just the right amount of glitter and it really does look good paired with the liquid highlighter.

I feel like a golden goddess when sporting these two together and couldn't wait to tell you all about it!

Cheap Treat Tuesday - Make Up Gallery Blusher

I've tried a few products from Make Up Gallery which are sold in Poundland however I've never tried their blushers. When quickly running through this caught my eye and I picked it up without even swatching it.

Its the most stunning every day colour blush, which actually isnt chalky like other cheap face products are! I find with some cheap branded make up items its hit and miss and whereas the lip liners from the same range aren't very good this blusher is amazing!

I got the shade Coral Rose 4 which is a gorgeous soft pink/ coral. It has no shimmer in which I like in a blush because I like to add the shimmer when I'm highlighting. Its very similar to Orgasm from NARS but obviously doesn't have the flecks of gold glitter. I also really like the packaging of this, its not too cheap looking and I don't think it will fall apart - unlike MUA! I like how its very sleek and for only £1 I think its brilliant! This also has Vitamin E in too.

When searching through my make up collection I noticed that this was so similar to this Kiko blusher that I already have. Literally the only difference is that the MUG one feels a tad chalky in comparison because the Kiko one is literally amazing quality!
