Cheap Treat Tuesday - Sleek blush by 3

I've had this in my collection for a while now but I never seem to use it and I don't know why! Its a great little blush trio and one of the shades is actually a dupe for Orgasm from NARS.  For 3 gorgeous and pigmented blushes this is only £10 which means it just has to be in the CTT section!

This is in the shade Lace which has a stunning orange to pink colour scheme. The pans for a start are huge meaning you get even more for your money and it will last longer! All three of these blushes are super pigmented and not even that chalky.

My favourite is the middle shade; Guipure which is the NARS dupe. Its a gorgeous pink shade with golden flecks running throughout. Although this makes it shimmery the glitter isn't chunky and as you can see from the swatches its just a really natural pretty colour.

The other two I must admit look scary but they can be toned down with a very light hand! These colours can also be used as eyeshadows remember so you can get more out of them!

No7 Skincare and Make up Haul!

As I mentioned in yesterdays post I went to a No7 Christmas event, we got multiple offers if we were to purchase some products so why not!

At their event a lot of the products stood out to me so I jotted them down on the 'Christmas wishlist' so when we were able to go buy a few I knew what I wanted.

The first thing I picked up was the Radiance balm; its a shimmery liquid that you can wear on its own or under foundation. I've been having problems with my make up recently where I'm needing to be matte but not flat. I've worn this twice now and I'm loving it so far! When I first apply it I can't see any difference but when I put my foundation on then wow! My face looks so glowy and healthy and is exactly what I wanted!

I then also purchased the Pore Purifier which is basically a black head treatment. I know its gross to talk about but lots of people get blackheads as its natural, especially when you were makeup and have an oily t-zone like me! I've tried lots of different nose strips and exfoliators in the past but nothing has seemed to work.. except this! You squeeze out some gel onto to applicator and then just buff it into your problem areas. Within seconds after washing it off I noticed a huge difference so I would really recommend this!

As there was a 3 for 2 offer on I got the Eye Base for free, it looked pretty good when demonstrated and swatched however now that I have it I don't understand what it does. It says this can be used as a primer which I will do but it also says when used alone it gives the appearance of a bright and smooth eye area which I personally didn't notice any difference when I worn it. Looks like I'll have to play around with this and see if its any good as a primer!

What is your favourite product from No7?

Boots No7 Christmas event!

When I seen an advertisement for a No7 Christmas event at my local Boots store I was so excited! Especially after loving the Clinique strobing event so much.

Obviously Sarah came with me and so did our friend Kamilla, we had such a great night!

It was a 3 hour event which split between beauty and skincare and then time where we could grab some food and purchase some products. When we got to the event we were greeted with drinks and told to choose a side of the room to sit on.

We chose skincare first and we got to learn a lot about what No7 has to offer and some hidden gems within their collection. There were demonstrations of the products including self tan, which looked amazing! Products were then passed around and we could make a 'Christmas wishlist' of everything we wanted.

There was also a raffle on which was included in our ticket price and lucky enough Sarah won a Lancome fragrance!

We then grabbed some nibbles and moved to the beauty side where a gold to black smokey eye was being demonstrated. Although I loved the event I didn't feel like the 'make up artists' were any good and none of them knew roughly what price or shade anything was - which I would expect them to know.

Surprisingly though nothing from the make up actually stood out to me which was a real shock, as I was mostly excited about the skin care!

We were also given a goody bag which were sometimes a bit hit and miss but I suppose I can't complain because they were free!

This is what came in mine which I was pretty chuffed with! The nail varnishes are shades I would never use but everything else I really like. The golden eyeshadow has to be my favourite, its so pigmented and is exactly what I've been looking for! I also got a gold liquid highlight which I forgot to include.

Overall I enjoyed the event and I can't wait for their next one! Check out tomorrows post to see what I actually bought from the event!
