Kylie Metal Matte Dupes?? | Primark Liquid Lipsticks Review

When I seen that Primark were releasing metallic matte liquid lipsticks I got so excited and when they finally arrived in my local store I just had to pick them up and give them a whirl!

Metallic lips aren't really my thing but then again I've never tried them so why not give it a go when these were only £2?!

The packaging on these is the same as all of the other liquid lipsticks and the wand is the same too. Primark's liquid lipstick range is one of my favourites in terms of applicators, its just so right and its almost sort of furry! I tend to find that the applicator picks up just the right amount of product too and I never have to double dip.

There were only two colours to choose from and they're pretty much the same colour as Kylies King K (gold shade) and Reign (burgundy shade). When I swatched them they were so immensely pigmented and the glitter was not as chunky as I imagined.

I HAVE to mention the smell of these too! They smell like blackcurrant which is refreshing compared to the typical vanilla/ cupcake scent.

When I applied these to the lips I first applied the burgundy shade and it looked gorgeous. This is the sort of shade that will be perfect for around Christmas time. The glitter in this is subtle but still slightly noticeable. I just think its nice and something a little different!

On to the gold shade- I applied this as a lip topper over a brown coloured lip and it looked incredible. I placed it just in the centre and blended it out with my finger. Again this looks subtle but gorgeous and different!

Overall I really do like these however the longer I had them on for the glitter started to actually fake off and go all over my face. For this reason I'm probably going to just wear these for pictures or videos or something like that!

If your thinking about giving these a go just do it! It's only £2 and you can try something new!

Cover shoot Cosmetics | Review

On Friday a video went up on my channel which you can watch here. It was a first impressions of a beauty blogger box I was sent from the lovely Cover Shoot Cosmetics.

Obviously that video entailed my first initial thoughts however I've now been trying to products out so I can give a more in-depth review.

The contour palette was the first item I tried and I really love it- and still do. The packaging of not only this but the eyebrow kit too are really sleek and thin which means they're great to store or take traveling. For budget friendly makeup I think they did a really good job! The only nitty gritty thing I have to mention is that both of the kits don't come with mirrors although in place of that the packaging has a clear section so you can clearly see the product.

The actual product I really really like. In the pans the shades don't feel very creamy however when applied to the face and blended in they appear more softer and easier to work with. I think kits like these are great for beginners or someone who is new to cream contouring as its so easy. It also gives you a mini 'tutorial' of how to use the shades which is handy! After testing this out the contour shade is my favourite as the colour is just so perfect for me, however I'm not a huge fan of the highlight shade. As this goes under my eyes- where I'm more dry -it tends to separate and clump together. I've tried different primers and foundations so if you have dry skin then this might not be for you.

For the eyebrow kit this is something I love however as I don't use two of the shades its a little inconvenient to store in my makeup bag. As you will of seen in the video the primer really does make a difference. It made the application of the colour easier, it stayed in place all day and it also altered the shade a little which ended up suiting me more. What I love about this palette is the shades can also be used as eyeshadows which is really handy. You could put the primer all over the lid, go in with beige for your transition colour, brown to deepen it up and then use the black shade on the outer v!

In terms of both of the eyeshadow palettes the pigmentation is way better than I expected. The bright palette isn't as pigmented as the smoky palette but I prefer that when working with bright shades. So far I've only experimented with the purple but I loved the look I created. Its also worth mentioning that there was no fallout and it stayed on all day with no primer!

As for the smokey palette you can see from my reaction that this is pigmented. At first there was no initial fallout however as the day went on I did notice a lot of the teal shade had fell onto my nose and cheek.

Overall I really like these palettes and I personally feel like these are great for if your wanting to experiment with something new, like for me the purple and teal!

Last is this twist pot which I've always wanted to try! I hate removing polish, I always spill the remover and loose cotton pads so for me something like this is right up my street. Its also incredibly easy to use and fast, taking only seconds to remove polish off your full hand.

Overall I'm super impressed with all of these items. If you want to try them for yourself the contour and eyebrow kit are for sale in savers and you can find the twist pot in poundland. All of the products can be found online at Amazon too!
