Bloggers Made Me Buy It!

I see so many blog posts, Instagram posts and tweets raving about products and it really does suck me in. Here are some of the products and brands that bloggers have influenced me to buy and my thoughts on them!

Milani– I picked up 4 items when I first ordered from Milani and I’m so glad I listened to those who raved about them because now I do too! I don’t use them all as much as I’d like just purely because I have so much makeup but I definitely need to more often, especially the baked blusher in Luminuso!

Freedom Primer Water- I’ve been testing this out for about 4 weeks now and its fair to say I’m in love! Again theres a separate review up here but all I can say now is you need to go and pick one up for yourself!

Primark Lip Liner & Liquid Lipstick- I’m not going to talk about these too much because theres a separate review up here but oh my god I love these! I’m so glad I picked these up and now I know they’re amazing I can go and get every colour and it wont break the bank!

Charlotte Tillbury lipstick- Probably one of the most popular blogger favourites! I hated this at first but the more I used it the more I fell in love. It feels so luxurious and the shade is a gorgeous light glossy nude. I 100% need to try more of her lipsticks!

UD x Gwen- Sadly this is one that’s a huge regret and I wish I’d off not seen so many people talking about this. I didn’t need and it to be honest I never ever use it. I don’t like the shades and they don’t really suit me either. Such a waste of money!

Favourite DRUGSTORE Lip Options / Kate Moss Lipstick Review

For me, personally I don't really tend to bother with drugstore/ high street lip products. I'm not sure wether thats because I have FAR too many MAC lipsticks or I've just never bothered looking through all the stands.

Recently I have been taking the time to find the hidden gems and thought I'd share them with you so they don't go unnoticed any longer.

First off is the Rimmel x Kate Moss Lipstick in the shade 56 Boho Nude. I swatched this and literally couldn't get it out of my mind so had to go back for it- I really do love this. This is my first Rimmel lipstick and I'm definitely going to be trying more! The formula of this is so creamy and pigmented yet still being long lasting. What caught my eye was the actual colour of the lipstick, anyone who knows me knows that my favourite ever lipstick is MAC's Half N Half and this is pretty much an exact dupe. The great thing is this is half of the price of a MAC lipstick! The colour of the actual packaging just makes it 10x better too as its this gorgeous rosey gold colour.

I also love the Freedom Pro Melts Lipgloss in the shade D-ream which I never hear anything about! This is called a lipgloss however it dries down so I just call it a liquid lipstick. It stays all day and doesn't crack or flake off which is just a godsend if I'm at uni! The colour range of these is also amazing so if you don't like this shade I'd definitely have a look at what else they have to offer!

A new purchase of mine but definitely a key favourite is the Sleek Power Pump Lip Crayon. This is in the shade Notorious Nude and is that gorgeous pink toned nude that really suits my skin tone along with my dark hair. What I love about this is that its really creamy and pigmented and keeps my lips hydrated all day which really is a need for me. This is also a plumping product- as you could probably guess by the name! This tingles for at least 2-3 hours after application and really does give my lips a little plump. Its also worth mentioning that the smell isn't very strong either as I hate that minty sort of smell that usually comes with these sort of products!

Finally I just had to mention a Makeup Revolution product this being the Lip Lava in the shade Forgiven. This is a similar product to the Too Faced Melted Lipsticks as the applicator is the same idea. Unfortunately mine broke so I now have to apply this straight from the tube with a brush but I don't mind! What I love most about this has to be the colour! If Velvet Teddy sorta' shades are your thing then give this a go! Its a perfect peach toned nude- and did I mention its also a liquid lipstick? Its finish isn't matte but more of a hydrating demi-matte finish.

Do you have any drugstore lip recommendations?

Freedom Priming Water | Review

If you know me you know that Makeup Revolution and Freedom Makeup are my all time favourite brands from the drugstore, so as you can imagine this was quite high up on my wishlist.

If you follow the makeup world you'll know that Smashbox were the first to come out with a Priming Water and it was so innovative and different so when Freedom launched their 'dupe' I just had to get my hands on it. Unfortunately every time I went to purchase it it was out of stock but now I've finally got it I've been testing it out for a few weeks so I can finally give you my review.

The Priming Water is priced at £6 which is incredible as the Smashbox version retails for £20! It's only available on the TAM website or you can purchase it from Superdrug. I actually got this online from Superdrug and went with the click and collect option so I didn't have to pay anything for delivery! I can honestly say that the wait for this killed me- I was SO excited to try it!

I love the packaging of this and all of the Pro Studio range for that matter. The clear bottle tied with the metallic silver wrap makes it look and feel so much more expensive. It really does look like a professional product within my collection. I even prefer the look of this to the likes of MAC Fix +. The only thing I have to mention about the packaging is that make sure the whole lid is screwed on properly -not just the cap- because mine wasn't and it leaked a little bit. It wasn't a big deal and it was my own fault anyway!

Now lets talk about the actual product- does it work? YES.

100% this actually works! I spray this only before my makeup, not over it as I'm scared it will go patchy but this creates such a flawless base for makeup application. Currently my skin is quite dry so I'm not sure how well this would work if you have oily skin.

This instantly hydrates my skin and makes my foundation and concealer go on so effortlessly and seamlessly. My undereye area is so dry and my makeup usually creases and looks cakey, however when I use this it looks so radiant and creamy and not dry at all.

As for longevity of my makeup I've noticed that not only does this keep it on for longer but it keeps it looking exactly the same as when I first applied it; fresh and smooth looking. This contains Glycerin which basically makes things stick - so if you do doubt this product just look at its ingredients because its proof that it does what it says on the tin.. or bottle!

My all time favourite thing about this product is the smell.. its hard to describe but it smells like vanilla which I'm all for.

To wrap this up, all I can say is expect to see this in many favourites and an empties because I know I'm going to get my use out of this and finish it quite quickly!
