Maybelline ● Lash sensational mascara

Mascara is a product I simply cannot live without; my eyes are my favourite thing about myself so I feel like I need to emphasise them more than anything else! Plus I look half dead without it.

My boyfriends mum kindly picked this up for me (Thank you mammy Lyn!) as I mentioned it to her and told her I had heard so much about it.

First of all look at this gorgeous packaging, my most favourite looking mascara compared to all the bright purple ones! I was honestly so excited to try this product as I rarely purchase drugstore brand mascaras. However I am really disappointed, I mean everybody was really talking about this and bigging it up and honestly I don't think its anything out of the ordinary.

Yes it does lengthen your lashes, as you can see from the picture below but there's just something I don't quite like about it! My favourite ever mascara is the Benefit They're real and the perfect dupe for this is the Max Factor Masterpiece transform mascara so this review is based on my favoritism for them!

As for the brush, I really don't get a long with this either as I feel like I cant really reach my lashes well enough even though its the same shape. I like my lashes to be very thick however I feel like this mascara just simply gives length. This mascara is perfect for one of those makeup days where you cant be bothered or need to look more awake, and I'm glad I got to try it but I really don't think this is the best product on the market at the minute!

What did you think of this mascara?

Beauty haul!

Oops! It seems I've collected quite a few beauty products in the past few weeks so I thought what would be better than bringing them all together in a haul on a Sunday?!

I've been good recently and not splurged on much and I thought why not and started my online shopping basket..

First things first, MAC!

I really wanted to try a few different things and make my makeup collection grow, so instead of opting for eyeshadows and foundations like I usually do I picked up some general face products.

I bought these two absolutely gorgeous blushes in the shades Breezy and Springsheen(L-R). Breezy is a plum colour and nothing like I have in my collection, on the other hand Springsheen is a very sheer peachy tone; a little goes a long way as it's seriously so pigmented!

I also couldnt resist a mineralise skin finish and which other colour than soft and gentle? It's even more beautiful in person and like no highlighter I've ever seen. Like the blush a little goes a long way but you can apply more to give a more dramatic night look!

This lipstick was a spur of the moment decison and you can probably all guess what it is.. that's right velvet teddy! I really didn't think I would suit this when it first came but its surprising really wearable, sometimes I dab a little pink over just to make it more suitable for my skin colour but I'm in love!!

Finally the last MAC product I picked up was in fact the strobe cream! I felt my skin and foundation routine needed a little pick-me-up so I thought I would give this a try!

NARS is a brand I've never tried before so I thought instead of buying a Benefit box blusher like I usually do I would opt for something a little different. This is in the shade orgasm and its such a pretty colour with shimmer running through! It is smaller than I thought it would be but never the less go and try something from NARS if you haven't already.

Finally some random beauty bits! I picked up this beauty blender for just 99p from Home Bargains just to see how I got on with it as I really dont want to spend the Real Techniques prices and I love it! It makes cream contour and highlight look so flawless I really reccomend!

False eyelashes are something I never wear but I wanted to try some Red Cherry ones so I picked these up from eBay for around £1.50! And then I repurchased just a travel size of my favourite eye primer; the Urban Decay primer potion!

Thank you for reading!

John Frieda ● Frizz Ease perfect finish

Ever have those fly aways? Baby hair? Does your hair look like a poodle with the tiniest bit of humidity? This is the product for you!

My mam picked this up a few months ago and when I tried it out I literally fell in love with it! Nothing I have ever used before has done a job as good as this. My baby hairs are completely untamable.. unless I use this product. So I just had to go purchase one for myself!

It is a little on the pricey side- or so I think but its honestly so worth it and a little really does go a long way. At boots its £6.29 although I'm sure I paid about £8 for it. If you get it at boots though you can collect points, which I always think you may as well so then when you've got a reasonable amount you can purchase something you really want or want to try out!

This is designed to be used on dry hair and advised only 1 pump should do although I do half that in fear of my hair looking a bit greasy! Its totally up to you though and you can use it all over your hair not only at the roots.

Body shop lipstick haul!

A few weeks ago I went to York designer outlet and stumbled into the Body Shop, which usually I never really go in. I wasn't interested in any of the 'body' products but thought I'd give their makeup a look seen as though many of my friends love the blushes and brushes!

They were having a sale on some of the lipsticks so I thought I would test a few and see how I got on with them. First of all I knew I wanted an orange lipstick but seen as though I've never tried orange I didn't want to pay MAC prices for something I would of ended up hating. All the lipsticks were £4 so I tested a few and came across this gorgeous orange one, its incredibly pigmented and creamy and its not too bold or too subtle, just the perfect orange!

Another lipstick I was looking for was a purple, I used to own the most gorgeous purple one from MUA and every time I go to repurchase it sadly its never there. When I seen this its super bold but buildable so I would be able to create a sheer purple lip or go all out and do a super dark lip! I was really excited about this one even though I've yet to wear it.

My favourite is the mauve pink colour! When I swatched this in the shop it was so creamy and that's why I loved it, however I got home and when I opened it was really hard and was quite stiff. I didn't give up and swatched it hard on my hand, after that it seemed to be creamy and now its one of my favourite lipsticks! It changes colour slightly every time I apply it but its always such a gorgeous, girly pink! I'm going to do a favourite nude lipstick post soon so this might crop up in that!

I'm definitely never going to avoid the Body Shop again!
