What's In My Travel Makeup Bag

With having a boyfriend and him also having a caravan I'm constantly in need of a travel/ over night bag. In this theres obviously my makeup so this is what I take!

Foundation- I usually take one thats quite basic and 'everyday' as I don't want something too full coverage or the opposite. I normally opt for the Maybelline Dream Satin liquid as this isn't dewy or mattifying so whatever my skins going through the lovely satin finish of this is perfect.

Concealer- I again go for one thats everyday and quite fool proof, I also need a concealer that I know won't crease. In this case I love traveling with the Bourjouis Radiance Reveal concealer.

Powder/ Contour- For powdering, bronzing and contouring I usually take a palette that contains everything just so it means I'm not taking everything individually. If I don't use my Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour kit (review here) I use this which is my favourite palette at the moment. This is the NARS x Steven Klein face palette that contains a powder highlight, contour, bronzer and then four blushers. So this is absolutely amazing for traveling. I also use this palette for my eyes by using the contour shade as a crease colour, I then just add some liner and I'm good to go.

Blusher- For blusher I'm quite set on my favourite ones; my main favourite being the Charlotte Tilbury Chic to Cheek blusher in First Love. With not only blusher but every item I like to take things I know work and look good as I dread being stranded with bad makeup!

Brows- This is the only brow product I use and I love it! This is the Freedom Brow Pomade and is even better than the Anastasia Beverly Hills one. I find this super easy to work with and can create natural brows or heavily dramatic ones.

Mascara- Again the only mascara that I use is the Maybelline Falsies Effect. This is the one mascara that I know won't transfer on me and gives me great lashes. Therefore this is easy just to shot in my makeup bag and go out the door.

Top 5 High Street Products

L'oreal Infallible Mattifying Primer

This primer if you haven't seen me mention it on my two latest videos (channel here) is my absolute holy grail primer right now. This is the only primer that actually works in keeping me matte throughout the day and teamed with a NARS powder its like heaven. This is such a strange consistency as it almost melts in your hands as Sarah (blog here) referred to it. As I've just booked a holiday to ibiza - I'll stop mentioning it soon I promise - I feel like this will be perfect!

Miss Sporty Eyeliner

After trying the same old eyeliner ever since I started playing around with makeup I decided to try something new. I picked this up as it looked similar to the L'oreal one but for half of the price and I can't honestly rave about this enough. For a budget eyeliner its amazing! Its black, doesn't dry out and stays on all day. I'd really recommend this and its so easy to apply with its precise nib applicator.

Revlon Colorstay Foundation

This again is another holy grail product but this time its foundation. If your oily I would go right now and pick this up.. right now! Teamed with the L'oreal Primer its a perfect combination and keeps me matte. This is the foundation that I wear on a daily basis with the use of a buffing brush however I also opt for this for night outs too as this literally locks in place even in sweaty night clubs and for this I use the Real Techniques Beauty Sponge.

Maybelline Falsies Mascara

If you like Benefit's Roller Lash Mascara I guarantee you will love this. My boyfriends mum bought this for me and I hated it, I'm sure theres actually a bad review somewhere on here.. oops! But after trying it out I've fallen in love, this is the best mascara ever at curling and lifting those lashes while still providing volume and length. I also find that a lot of mascaras actually transfer on me (Hello Too Faced Better Than Sex I'm looking at you!) but this is one that doesn't which is a bonus!

Makeup Revolution Salted Caramel Chocolate Bar Palette

When writing this post it was so hard to pick my top 5 favourites however I tried to go through every category. You'll probably be really sick of me mentioning this by now and especially as Katie (YouTube here) got me the Death By Chocolate version that will no doubt be making its rounds across both my channel and on here! This is probably my all time favourite drugstore palette- I like this way better than my MUG eyeshadows but thats probably because of the colours I chose. With this palette its so perfect and warm toned with just the right amount of mattes and shimmers. I also use this sometimes as a highlighter because why not!

LIFESTYLE | Cocktails at The Nuthatch

After over a year of blogging I bring you my very first lifestyle post!

On Friday I took a trip to The Nuthatch, a new micro cocktail bar in my hometown. I went with Sarah  (blog here) who I've mentioned before and our friend Kamila who were trying to persuade to start a lifestyle/travel blog!

After seeing all of the gorgeous pictures of not only the cocktails but the decor of the bar this was number 1 on our wish list of places to try out. Its located in a street full of small independent businesses; most of them being small micro bars and pubs. When we arrived the doorman told us how this was table service therefore they encourage making reservations, luckily he could seat us and I'm so glad because this will definitely be my favourite place to go!

The menu specialises in creating your own gin drink and also has a wine and beer menu however we were just there for the cocktails! We all ordered a Passionfruit Martini to start with which was amazing. The cream on the stop was incredibly sweet although the drink was very sour, it was such a perfect combination! I also tried a bit of the passionfruit on top for the first time and I can say all night passionfruit was an ingredient I looked for on every single menu.

I then thought I would try something else of the menu and opted for the Strawberry and Elderflower Bramble which contained gin! I'm not a big gin fan however I'll definitely be ordering this again.

Overall I really loved my trip to The Nuthatch and they should expect to see me again soon!
