Body shop lipstick haul!

A few weeks ago I went to York designer outlet and stumbled into the Body Shop, which usually I never really go in. I wasn't interested in any of the 'body' products but thought I'd give their makeup a look seen as though many of my friends love the blushes and brushes!

They were having a sale on some of the lipsticks so I thought I would test a few and see how I got on with them. First of all I knew I wanted an orange lipstick but seen as though I've never tried orange I didn't want to pay MAC prices for something I would of ended up hating. All the lipsticks were £4 so I tested a few and came across this gorgeous orange one, its incredibly pigmented and creamy and its not too bold or too subtle, just the perfect orange!

Another lipstick I was looking for was a purple, I used to own the most gorgeous purple one from MUA and every time I go to repurchase it sadly its never there. When I seen this its super bold but buildable so I would be able to create a sheer purple lip or go all out and do a super dark lip! I was really excited about this one even though I've yet to wear it.

My favourite is the mauve pink colour! When I swatched this in the shop it was so creamy and that's why I loved it, however I got home and when I opened it was really hard and was quite stiff. I didn't give up and swatched it hard on my hand, after that it seemed to be creamy and now its one of my favourite lipsticks! It changes colour slightly every time I apply it but its always such a gorgeous, girly pink! I'm going to do a favourite nude lipstick post soon so this might crop up in that!

I'm definitely never going to avoid the Body Shop again!

Soap and glory perfect ten palette!

As you can probably guess I'm obsessed with makeup so finding new products that I love is something I really enjoy doing.

I'm really getting more into eye makeup recently and when I came across this palette near Christmas I couldn't resist! There's 10 shades, some matte and some shimmer and it really does have something for everyone. You can create so many looks with this including brown and black smokey eyes, something delicate for a day look or something really dark for a night time look.

The pigmentation is incredible and the swatches below are just one 'swipe' of the product so you can see how vibrant they are. Obviously with the paler shades you would have to build it up but honestly a lot goes a long way. The palette itself comes in this gorgeous packaging, I especially love the fact how thin and light it is, compared to the naked palettes this is ideal if you were going anywhere.

If I do hit pan on this I hope its back this Christmas!

What are your favourite palettes?

My every day makeup

Finally my camera and laptop have actually decided to work! I photographed these pictures last week and for the life of me could not get them onto my computer.

I've recently changed a lot of my makeup products and bought loads more new bits to play around with and I must say they (together) are amazing! After having such bad dry skin I thought I would test a new foundation and then a new primer.. and new brushes.. and I may as well try a new bronzer.. right?

Foundation:

Personally I've never really been a fan of Maybelline products but seen as though I worked in boots I could see and work with all the makeup products. While I was with a customer this Fit me foundation caught my eye; it was great for my dry skin and gave a really flawless glowy finish, perfect. I ran out of my favourite primer so I decided to have a play around and find one, this grabbed my attention and it is ahhhhmazing! After buying these and a few more bits I had enough points on my advantage card to buy 2 Real Techniques brushes and I honestly will never use anything else!

Cheeks:

This is everything I use on my face and I know it looks a lot but concealer, blusher, bronzer and highlighter isn't a lot.. is it? I got this KIKO concealer wheel when I was in Rome and I love it! Its a great little compact that has 2 shades of skin coloured concealer and then also the green and purple! Just incase I'm on the go and a little friend appears on my face! I also discovered this Bourjois cream bronzer as I'd heard it was a Chanel dupe! It blends so nicely and is such a change from regular powered bronzer. This MUA highlighter is my absolute favourite- for £3 you cant go wrong.

I decided to splurge a few months ago and got this beautiful Urban Decay Naked flushed palette. Its so pigmented and goes a long way. Its great if I'm travelling too because its 3 products in one!

Eyes:

Eyes is my favourite thing to do makeup wise as there are some really pretty products you can find! For my eyebrows I use Benefits brow-zings, from this I can choose to have a subtle every day brow or go full out for a dark thick shape for more glam makeup! I was kindly sent this mascara and its such a good dupe of the They're Real mascara by Benefit, the brush is short and spikey and it lasts all day. I recently fell in love with Smashbox makeup as there's a new stand in a boots near me. This cream eyeshaddow is absolutely gorgeous and I'm obsessed with using it! Its a pinky silver colour and as a little goes a long way the hefty price tag is well worth it. For eye liner I use this too faced colourless eyeliner, you can dip it in any colour eyeshaddow and turn it into an eyeliner.. how brilliant!

Lips:

Again another amazing product from Smashbox! This lipstick in Primrose is such a gorgeous every day muted pink colour, its long lasting and really moisturising!

Sorry for the bad picture but this is the outcome, my glowy every day makeup!

A little green box..

Okay so I think everyone knows what a little green box means.. TIFFANY & CO.

On my 18th birthday after already opening some little presents I started to get ready to go for a meal with my family at a local Italian restaurant. At the end of the night I got my cake.. although it wasn't the triple chocolate giant cupcake my mam made me. It was a Tiffany box cake, I was so confused until I turned around and in front of me was a little green box all tied up with ribbon. I was so surprised I didn't even want to open it because I knew how overwhelmed I would be.

Finally after opening it I just fell in love, this really means something and will be a special piece of jewelry I will treasure forever. Its a small pendant on a short chain and sits roughly in the middle of your collar bones. I think its perfect and will be forever greatful for this amazing gift.

So here it is!
